About Us
Northview West Oakview Elementary School is an established and collaborative community school for students from Early Childhood age through Grade 4 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. One of its greatest strengths is its welcoming, respectful, responsible, caring and safe learning environment for students. West Oakview hosts the regional deaf and hard of hearing program for students under Grade 4. The school offers a comprehensive academic curriculum supported by classroom extensions including field trips, assemblies, technology labs, library, fine arts, and physical education programs. Parents/Guardians are an important part of the school family.
School Hours
Monday - Friday, 8:15 AM - 3:30 PM, with the exception of Wednesday mornings where school starts at 9:15 AM.
Office Hours
7:30 AM - 4:00 PM

Through KISD, students are immersed in language skill building and peer-to-peer experiences.
